'Blackpink The Movie' to be released globally to mark the 5th anniversary of its debut

A movie produced to commemorate the 5th anniversary of the girl group Black Pink's debut will be released this summer.

According to YG Entertainment on the 16th, the title of the movie is 'BLACKPINK THE MOVIE'. It is scheduled to be screened at CGV nationwide and in 100 countries around the world in August to coincide with Black Pink's debut date (August 8).

 

The movie unfolds in a variety of sequences, such as 'Memories Room', where memories of the five years since BLACKPINK's debut are shared, 'Beauty' with intense image cuts of the four members with distinct personalities, and 'Undisclosed special interview' to fans.

In addition, the stage of BLACKPINK's hit songs will be reedited by adding 5 live concerts of 'THE SHOW' and 'IN YOUR AREA' (2018), and it is expected to give the audience a vivid experience as if they are in a real concert hall.

 

 

In particular, CGV prepares various formats such as Screen X, which can be enjoyed on three sides including the front and left and right walls, 4DX where you can experience the unique resonance and catharsis of the concert site, and 4DX screen that takes advantage of the advantages of both special halls. It plans to add a sense of sight and immersion.

'BLACKPINK THE MOVIE' is a part of '4+1 PROJECT' announced by YG. It is a gift for Blink (fandom) and another festival venue where you can enjoy BLACKPINK's passionate performances together. It is expected that BLACKPINK will be able to look back on the journey of BLACKPINK, which established themselves as a global star at the same time as their debut in August 2016, and confirm their infinite charm.
